Coach Tracey has enjoyed being in the water all of her life. She took swim lessons through LSPR and learned how to swim rather quickly when her swim instructor, Angie, took Tracey and her classmates to the 6’ end and told them to swim to the 12’ end, no holding on to the sides! Sink or swim, she made it by the end of her second lesson. Tracey joined the LSPR Stingrays swim team at the age of 9 and enjoyed swimming for several years, but especially her favorite events, the fly and the IM. Tracey also swam for Raytown Riptides (now known as Riptide Aquatics), and eventually joined the MO side of the KC Blazers for a few years. Once Tracey turned 16, she became a lifeguard and swim instructor at Summit Waves and Legacy Park. She progressed to Head Lifeguard and Front Desk Attendant. She ended up working at LSPR for 9 years, leaving as a Site Supervisor at Legacy Park and Longview Community Center.
Tracey is currently employed at Ronald McDonald House of Kansas City. In her 5+ years there, she has been a Family Services Coordinator, and recently transitioned to Family Hospitality Specialist in January 2026. She also often assists with the training of new employees/volunteers because of her job knowledge and her attentiveness to detail. She is currently enjoying her position as Coach for these young Riptide swimmers and is looking forward to her poolside view of their learning, fun times, and accomplishments.
